About Me

Hello! I'm so glad we've crossed paths. Here's a bit more about me to help us get familiar with each other!

My name is Chrissy Canterberry. I have over 7 years of experience as a registered dietitian! This year I became credentialed as a certified diabetes care and education specialist. My practice's expertise is in diabetic management, weight management, and digestive health.  I am a graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics with minor in Psychology. From there, I partnered with Marshall again for my Dietetics Internship that led me to passing the Registered Dietitian Exam in 2015. I obtained a Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics at Marshall University in December 2015. 

My first job was at University of South Carolina as Sports Dietitian with Olympic Teams! I have worked at a critical care hospital and long-term care facilities with over 5 years of experience with diabetes, gastrointestinal disease(s), weight management, renal disease(s), oncology, enteral and parenteral nutrition, dysphagia, wound healing, etc.

Our fundamental beliefs are to help others learn the truth about evidence-based nutrition and medical nutrition therapy.  We believe in loving food by establishing and maintaining a healthy relationship with food and nutrition. Our purpose is to help you become self-efficient and improve coping skills to manage your health and wellness with measurable outcomes.
